Boomerang Book Project :: Mannheim

Make your spread. Dimensions are 53.5 x 35 cm or for those in the USA, 21 1/2 x 14 1/2 inches (I rounded off- this isn’t rocket science and I am not German). Your paper should be between 180 – 250 grams (or heavier). Fold in half- crease hard and viola!- you’ve got a spread. Work the inside pages (the ones facing each other when folded) leaving the outside pages untouched.

Work that spread any damn way you want! Let dry then mail off to Boomerang HQ. We will stitch your returned spread into a book signature and have the joining spreads completed by a local artist in Mannheim, Germany.

All participanting artists are encouraged to provide complete public contact data that may be used in relation to your work posted on the website and in print form. Send a pic of yourself and some info/thoughts on your submission. When we obtain all info, spread included, we'll upload your contribution. If you have a website- send us the URL. Send us an email and we'll send you our postal address.

When Boomerang is done, we will put this fine piece of highly diversified artwork on display. We are still trying to find a location. I am currently talking with MOMA and this guy named Festus Schreier. We’ll see. Also planned is a catalogue if/when Boomerang reaches cessation.
